The free Opuswerk Legal PDFs for WooCommerce attaches your terms and conditions, cancellation policy and privacy policy to WooCommerce emails. Pro adds the record: for every order, which file went out with which email, when, and in exactly which version, with the file itself to download again.
Add-on, GPL-2.0-or-later. Needs the free plugin, version 1.1.0 or later.
What it does
- Records every document the free plugin attached to an order email once the email has been handed to the mail server: the email, the file name, the time and a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the file.
- Keeps a copy of each version of each file that was sent. Upload a new version of your terms and the record shows which customers got which one.
- Shows a "Sent documents" box on the order screen, with the copy that was sent ready to download. Works with High-Performance Order Storage and the classic order screen.
- Exports the record for a date range as CSV, set up for spreadsheet programs in German.
- Deletes an order's record with the order, and older entries after a period you choose. There is no default period.
- Joins WordPress's personal data export and erasure, following WooCommerce's own setting for orders.
- German translation included, in the formal (Sie) and the informal (du) form.
What it does not do
It does not prove that a customer received or read an email: WordPress only knows that the message was handed to the mail server, and that is what the record says. It does not judge whether your documents or your shop meet any legal requirement.
Nothing about your customers or your orders leaves your site. The licence check talks to Freemius, which sells Pro: see the terms.

A yearly licence brings updates and support for a year and renews unless you cancel. When it ends, Pro keeps working; only updates and support stop. A one-time licence brings them for as long as Pro is developed. If Pro does not work on your site and we cannot fix it, you get your money back within 14 days of the purchase.

Pro zeichnet zu jeder Bestellung auf, welche Datei mit welcher E-Mail wann verschickt wurde und in welcher Fassung, und bewahrt eine Kopie jeder Fassung auf. Wenn Sie Ihre AGB ändern, sehen Sie später, welche Kunden welche Fassung bekommen haben, und können genau diese Datei wieder herunterladen. Aufgezeichnet wird die Übergabe an den Mailserver; ob die E-Mail angekommen ist, weiß WordPress nicht. Ob Ihre Unterlagen rechtlichen Anforderungen genügen, beurteilt Pro nicht.
