A customer pays and then hears nothing, because the goods are late and no tracking email can go out yet. This plugin notices the silence. When a paid order still has not shipped after a set number of days, it emails the customer, follows up once, and then asks your staff to get in touch. As soon as the order ships, it stops.
Free, GPL-2.0-or-later. Get it from the WordPress.org plugin directory.
The rule
Every morning the plugin looks at paid orders that are still waiting to ship. If an order has no tracking 12 days after payment, the customer gets a first notice. Seven days later comes a second one, and seven days after that your staff get an alert to contact the customer. You set all three numbers.
What it does
- Reads the tracking from Advanced Shipment Tracking, WooCommerce Shipment Tracking or Shiptastic, from an order meta key you name, or from the order status.
- Leaves your order history alone. Only orders paid after you first activate it count, unless you choose an earlier start date.
- Shows a preview of what the next check would send before anything is sent.
- Sends at most one email per order per day, adds an order note for each one, and writes a log line per order.
- Uses real WooCommerce emails, so you edit their text under WooCommerce, Settings, Emails.
- Pauses and says so if the tracking plugin it relies on is switched off, instead of emailing every open order.
What it does not do
The default emails promise no delivery date. The plugin makes no external requests and needs no account. Everything on this page is in the free plugin. It is a service tool, not a legal one.
Business days and holidays, lead times per product or category, more notices with an apology coupon, Klaviyo and webhook events and a weekly report are in the paid add-on, Opuswerk Delivery Delay Notices Pro.
